Delete your BuzzzUp account

You can delete your BuzzzUp account and its data at any time. There are two ways.

From inside the app

1. Open BuzzzUp and sign in.
2. Go to Settings (the ⚙️ tab).
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
4. Read what will happen, tick the box, enter your password, and confirm.

By email, if you cannot sign in

Write to soporte@buzzzup.com from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my account, and include your BuzzzUp username. We will verify that the account is yours and delete it. We answer within 30 days and usually much sooner.

What is deleted, and when

• Immediately: your account disappears from BuzzzUp. It leaves search results, friend lists and Buzzz. Your sessions are closed and notifications to your devices stop.
• After 30 days: your profile, photos, videos, Buzzz updates, friendships, blocks and notification records are permanently destroyed. Every photo, video and voice note you sent is deleted from our servers.
• You can change your mind during those 30 days simply by signing in again. Everything comes back exactly as it was. After the 30 days nothing can be recovered.

What is kept, and why

The text of messages you sent to other people stays in *their* conversations, with your name and photo removed. Those messages are also part of somebody else's conversation, and deleting them would rewrite another person's history rather than clean up yours. The photos, videos and voice notes you sent are deleted.

We keep a minimal record with no personal information in it — no name, no email, no password, no photo — solely so that other people's conversations do not break.
