Privacy Policy for BuzzzUp
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This policy explains what BuzzzUp collects, why, and what you can do about it. BuzzzUp is operated by Celebriffy Technologies. It is written to match what the software actually does.
In short: we collect what is needed to run a messaging app and nothing else. There is no advertising, there are no analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not sell or share your data with data brokers.
1. What we collect
You give us:
- Account details — username, password (stored only as a bcrypt hash, never in readable form), first and last name, and your email address.
- Profile — your photo, a short bio, up to four links, your language, and the photos or videos you choose to put on your profile.
- Your messages and posts — the text, photos, videos, files and voice notes you send, and the Buzzz updates you publish.
Created automatically when you use the App:
- Your IP address at sign-up, and the country derived from it. Used to spot abuse and to understand where the service is used. We do not collect precise location.
- When you were last active, so friends can see whether you are online.
- Notification details — if you turn on notifications, the address your browser gives us to reach that device, and the device's browser identification.
- Call records — the time of a call, whether it was audio or video, whether it was a group, and how the connection was made. Not the contents of the call.
What we do not collect: precise location, contacts, calendar, health data, biometric data, payment or financial information, and advertising identifiers. We use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
2. Why we use it
- To run the service: deliver your messages, connect your calls, show your profile to your friends.
- To verify your email address and let you recover your password.
- To send notifications you asked for. You can turn these off at any time in Settings or in your device settings.
- To keep the service safe: rate limits, spotting abuse, and acting on reports.
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not use your content to train models.
3. Who else sees it
- The people you send it to. That is the point of the App.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the server your data sits on.
- Our email provider, used only to deliver verification and password-recovery messages. It receives your email address and the contents of that email — nothing else.
- Authorities, only where we are legally required to respond, or to address an imminent risk to someone's safety.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
4. How long we keep it
- Messages stay until you delete them or your account.
- Buzzz updates disappear from view after 24 hours and are deleted from our servers within 7 days.
- Files behind a deleted message are removed from disk within 24 hours.
- Uploads that never got used are removed after 48 hours.
- Your account: when you ask us to delete it, it disappears from the service immediately and the data is destroyed after 30 days. Signing in again during those 30 days cancels the deletion.
5. Security, stated plainly
- Everything travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS).
- Passwords are hashed with bcrypt; nobody, including us, can read them.
- Photos, videos and files are served only to people entitled to see them, not to anyone holding the link.
- Calls are encrypted between participants by WebRTC.
- Your messages are not end-to-end encrypted. They are stored on our servers, and we are technically able to access them. We do not read them as a matter of course, and we access them only when we must for the reasons in section 3. We prefer to tell you this plainly rather than imply a protection the App does not have.
6. Your choices and rights
- See and change your details — Settings and your Profile.
- Change your password — Settings → Password.
- Turn notifications off — Settings, or your device's settings.
- Block anyone — from their profile or from Settings.
- Delete your account and its data — Settings → Delete my account, or see how deletion works.
- Ask us anything else — including a copy of your data or a correction — at soporte@buzzzup.com. We answer within 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. Write to us at the address above and we will honour them.
7. Children
BuzzzUp is for adults: you must be 18 or older to hold an account. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child is using the App, write to soporte@buzzzup.com and we will close the account and delete the data.
8. International transfers
Our servers are located in the United States. If you use BuzzzUp from elsewhere, your data is transferred there and handled under this policy.
9. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above and tell you in the App when the change is significant.
